Guardian ad Litem
Attorney Chadbourne is a certified Maine guardian ad litem. As a guardian ad litem, Attorney Chadbourne is appointed by the Court to investigate the circumstances, needs, and bests interests of children involved in contested family matters, make recommendations to the Court regarding the best outcome for the children, and to testify as an expert witness in that regard. She also works with the involved families throughout the process to try to assist them reach appropriate private resolutions and implement needed changes on their own.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is the process of resolving legal conflicts without going to trial. As a certified mediator, Ms. Chadbourne is at the forefront of this area, advising clients on arbitration, international dispute resolution, mediation, mini-trials, and private judging.
